Morice River
The Morice river flows from Morice Lake to Houston BC. This is an
excellent river for fishing and canoeing. Experienced river canoeists
will find this an easy river to navigate and will be rewarded with good
fishing, wildlife and beutiful green water!! This trip can be done
easily in three days.
You may find yourself reluctant to leave Morice
Lake and head down the river due to the stunning view on Morice Lake.
The river is named after Rev. Father
Adrien-Gabriel
Morice, and was adopted in the 9th Report of the Geographic Board of
Canada, 30 June 1910.
The Morice River supplies over 90% of the water in
the

If you are looking for a day trip or even a
partial day
trip, this river has much to offer. There are many access points
allowing for many different short trips.
The river is class I-II for the most part. There
is one spot (devils elbow) that may be better described as a II+.
